Uninstall McAfee or Norton Anti-Virus Programs

Before installing the free (or Pro) AVG antivirus program, it is necessary to first remove any previous antivirus program that may be installed on your system.

Once you have un-installed the previous anti-virus programs, Click Here to get AVG.

Once there, click on the button.

Use the F11 key to view the page in full screen

Press F11 again to return to the normal screen view


On the Taskbar, click the Start Button If you need the Symantec manual removal tool, at the Symantec page, choose your product. Then in the "Search" box type in: norton removal tool. Press the "Search" button. When it is found, click the button and follow the on-screen instructions. Be sure to re-start your computer when prompted. With Norton, I have found that it is very often necessary to run the Manual Removal Tool to get the Norton completely removed.
